This is leading to some puddles which the children are 'supposed to' stay away from but it's hard to stay away when you're 6/7 years old. It would be very helpful if you could keep an extra pair of socks and mitts in your child's school bag 'in case' they get wet. Thank you.

The children were also introduced to a web site they can check out at home in more depth if they'd like. It's a UK site but is well presented.

1. Some spring like weather is beginning to melt the snow in our school yard. This is leading to some puddles which the children are 'supposed to' stay away from but it's hard to stay away when you're 6/7 years old. It would be very helpful if you could keep an extra pair of socks and mitts in your child's school bag 'in case' they get wet. Thank you.
2. Today we had my husband come in to speak to the grade ones about electrical energy and electrical safety. He is and electrician and a firefighter. So hopefully he will have a chance at some point to return and speak to the students about fire safety as well.
He had different types of wire for the children to investigate that was stripped so they could see what was inside as well as switches, sockets and a sample circuit set up so they could see how it worked.
The children were also introduced to a web site they can check out at home in more depth if they'd like. It's a UK site but is well presented.
